Live chain is an installable browser pedalboard that runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. DSP stays in this tab. There is no cloud mix, no login, and no NIHILUS media relay. Open the live chain and tap Guide. That overlay stays on the page.

Nihilus Host

Chrome cannot open a Steinberg ASIO driver. Nihilus Host is a native zip that talks to your interface: Windows ASIO, macOS Core Audio, Linux ALSA. Same NIHILUS board as this site. Host is the native live render: driver clock and buffer, heavier oversampling, 32-bit float record from the callback. This tab stays a browser preview. Unsigned public beta. No accounts.

Browser-based guitar rig

Plug a guitar or mic into the computer or phone, pick the input on Play, and run a chain of pedals, amp, cab, and tuner. It is a live guitar sim, not a DAW project in the cloud.

Offline guitar amp simulator

After you install it, the service worker keeps the app ready without a network. Amp, cab, and pedals still run locally. A zip of files opened from disk will not work. Use https://nihilus.app and Install / Use offline.

Installable browser pedalboard

Pre, amp, and post lanes. Drag pedals. Save a .nih2 if you want a file. The same file opens in this browser and in Host. On a phone, Stage is the board and Control holds Play, Board, Pedal, Tuner, Jam, Record, Remote, and More.

Remote-controlled guitar effects

Remote rig pairs any browser as a full controller. Move modules, knobs, pedals, and I/O. Audio and DSP stay on the host. Peer-to-peer after a short handshake. Each side can see an IP. Read how pairing works.

Peer-to-peer browser jam

One other person hears your processed guitar and optional talkback. Camera is optional. They cannot move your pedals unless you allow control. The path is direct. If NAT blocks it, the jam fails. There is no TURN server and no NIHILUS audio relay. Read how jam works.

Dry and wet guitar recording

Record dry and wet on this computer. Studio quality is 32-bit float PCM when the capture worklet is live. Some browsers wrap a compressed take in a WAV. Share is a small compressed file, not for re-amp. Files stay on the machine unless you send stems.
