Live chain is a guitar sim in the browser. Pedals, tuner, remote rig, and a private jam link. No accounts. Expect glitches. In the app, tap Guide. That sheet stays on this page and walks you to Play, the board, tuner, remote, jam, record, and install.
Windows and an ASIO interface: Nihilus Host talks to the interface driver. This website in the tab is WASAPI. Chrome cannot open ASIO.
1. Start the chain
On a phone: open Control, then Play. Tap Mic on. The phone asks for the microphone then. Pick USB or the built-in mic after it lists them. Headphones if you can.
On a computer: open Play. Allow the microphone so names appear. Pick the interface. Then Start chain.
2. The board
Pedals sit in pre, amp, and post. Drag them. Click one for the inspector. On a phone, Stage is the visual board. Control, then Board, has every knob on a tile. Save a .nih2 if you want a file. The same file opens in this browser and in Host. Nothing here is cloud storage.
3. Tuner
Arm the tuner. Output mutes while it listens. The needle tracks cents. On a phone, open Control then Tuner. The tuner uses the same input as the chain. If audio is asleep, tap Mic on again to hear.
4. Remote rig
Pair any browser as a full controller. Move modules, knobs, pedals, and I/O. Audio and DSP stay on the host. Read how pairing works first. There is no media relay.
5. Jam
A friend hears your processed guitar on one path and optional talkback on another. They cannot move your pedals unless you allow control. The path is direct. If the path fails, it fails. No NIHILUS relay. Read how jam works.
6. Install / use offline
On a computer, use Install in the header. On a phone, open Control then More. The button says Install or Use offline depending on the browser. You do not need to bookmark. A zip of files from disk will not work. The app needs https://nihilus.app.
